Sandy Tharp-Thee was honored as a White House Champion of Change for her leadership and commitment to libraries and museums around the United States. With Tharp-Thee as Library Director of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, the library evolved from an organization with no budget and no viable programs to a well-funded organization that is considered an “essential service.”
