Application Review Process
The Institute uses a peer review process to competitively evaluate all eligible and complete applications. Reviewers are professionals in the field who have relevant knowledge and expertise in the types of activities and organizations identified in the applications. Reviewers are instructedto evaluate proposed projects according to the criteria identified in the program guidelines. TheInstitute’s director makes funding decisions based on the reviewers’ evaluations and the overall goalsof the program and the agency.
