Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) today announced 14 Native American Library Services Enhancement Grants totaling $1,644,268. IMLS received 47 applications requesting $6,306,472.

"These grants to Native American tribes and Alaska Native Villages support the full range of library activities," said IMLS Director Susan Hildreth. "The funded projects will improve literacy, provide workforce assistance, preserve tribes’ cultural heritage, and enhance overall library services."
