The Catawba Indian Nation, in collaboration with the Catawba Cultural Preservation Project, will transform its archival resources and knowledge into more accessible educational materials for the tribe, surrounding communities, and the public. The project team will conduct research, establish content outlines and curriculum plans, and develop a digital library, video and audio content, and associated interpretive collateral materials. Six educational videos will address major historical and thematic topics in Catawba history; collateral materials will be designed to facilitate classroom discussion around the videos; and the website will be redesigned to make additional digital content will be broadly accessible. The Catawba citizens and the public will benefit from increased access to high-quality information about the historical and cultural heritage of the Catawba people.
