Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services will host a free webinar on the opportunities for collaboration between institutions participating in Let’s Move! Museums & Gardens (LMMG) and communities participating in Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties (LMCTC). This is an opportunity to interact with representatives of IMLS, the National League of Cities, and participants in the LMMG and LMCTC initiatives, as we highlight ways museums and gardens can work with their local officials.

Like LMMG, Let’s Move! Cities, Towns, and Counties is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s comprehensive Let’s Move! initiative. It calls upon local officials to adopt long-term, sustainable, and holistic approaches to come together to create a generation of healthier children. This webinar is an opportunity to hear from cities that are collaborating with local museums and gardens and learn successful strategies to begin or expand a partnership.

This webinar is being offered free of charge and no pre-registration is required. To participate, simply go to this Blackboard Collaborative Meeting Room at the time of the webinar, enter your information, and join the conversation. You may listen using your computer’s speakers or dial 1-866-299-7945. When prompted, enter the passcode 9485763#.

Date: Wednesday, September 25
Time: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. EDT
