Learn How Your Museum or Garden Can Join the First Lady’s Initiative

Free Let's Move! Museums & Gardens Webinar Explores Best Practices of Participating Institutions

Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services will host a free webinar to provide ideas and advice for museums and gardens that wish to participate in the First Lady Michelle Obama’s Lets Move! initiative. This is an opportunity to interact with representatives of IMLS, the Association of Children’s Museums, and the American Public Garden Association, as we highlight ways museums and gardens can implement the priorities of the program that aims to get kids moving and eating healthy food.

This month, Let's Move! Museums & Gardens also will publish the What Works! manual, a downloadable resource that helps museums and gardens address the initiative’s key priorities and provides tips and ideas for communicating positive messages about healthy and active lifestyles.

This webinar is being offered free of charge and no pre-registration is required. To participate, simply go to this Blackboard Collaborative Meeting Room at the time of the webinar, enter your information, and join the conversation.  You may listen using your computer's speakers or dial-in to 1-866-299-7945. When prompted, enter the passcode 7434925#.

Date: Thursday, May 16
Time: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. EST
