IMLS Fills Two Top Positions

Washington, DCIMLS Director Susan Hildreth is pleased to announce two recent appointments.

Antoine Dotson has been named Human Resources Director and Stephanie Burwell has been named Chief Information Officer.

Dotson joined IMLS in December 2007 as the Senior HR Specialist and was promoted to Deputy HR Director in August 2009.  Prior to joining IMLS, he served as Senior HR Consultant at the Department of Interior, National Business Center, where he provided HR services to other federal agencies in the Washington, DC area.  Dotson has over 21 years of federal service in the area of human resources operations, recruitment, employee relations, policy and planning, conflict resolution, and negotiations.  

Burwell has been with IMLS since 2007, previously serving as the agency’s Operations Manager before being promoted to Deputy Chief Information Officer. As CIO, she is responsible for overseeing the Agency’s Network, IT Support Services, IT Security program, Section 508 compliance, and IT Asset Management. She is also responsible for planning and budgeting for the acquisition, migration, and maintenance of all IMLS hardware and software. Prior to joining IMLS, Burwell was an Operations Manager at the Federal Maritime Commission and the Technical Assistance Center lead at the Securities and Exchange Commission.  Her experience there included managing daily operations and addressing all customer service inquiries.
