Grant Awards Announcement: Native American Library Services Basic Grants

Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced today 235 grants serving 242 tribes and  totaling $1,666,000 for the Native American Library Services Basic Grant and Basic Grant with Education/Assessment Option Program.

"This funding helps American Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages maintain their core library services," said IMLS Director Susan Hildreth. "This work is essential to ensuring the educational and cultural preservation of tribal communities."
