Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced today 21 awards totaling $984,287 matched with $667,834 of non-federal funds  for Native American/Native Hawaiian Museum Services Program Grants. IMLS received 33 applications requesting $1,457,837 in funds.

"These projects highlight the important work of Native American, Alaskan Native and Native Hawaiian cultural heritage preservation," said Susan Hildreth, IMLS Director.   "By enhancing museum programming and staff professional development, these institutions can continue to share knowledge and experiences through art, science and traditions."
