The Santa Ana Public Library has been in service to the City of Santa Ana for 125 years and currently serves 335,264 residents, 79 percent of which are Latinos and 10 percent Asian. Fifty percent of the children enrolled in the local schools are first-generation English learners. Through programming that touches all age groups and demographics, the Library's goal is to improve the community's collective life. Addressing the needs of the young immigrant families in the community, the library focuses on special programs to mentor youth, families and others to help them bridge the digital divide.
