Mid-America Science Museum

Beginning in 2009, the Mid-America Science Museum began the process of renovating their physical space, as well as reinventing their involvement in their community. Museum board and staff held discussion groups, listened to focus groups, and surveyed visitors in order to understand the current needs of their audiences. As a result, the Mid-America Science Museum is now a new museum in every way, offering up-to-date exhibits, providing educational programs that are specifically designed for the audience it serves, and developing deeper partnerships that broaden impact. Their educational programs stimulate interest in science, promote public understanding of the sciences, and encourage life-long science education.
