National Indo-American Museum

Log Number: ARPML-250623-OMLS-22

The National Indo-American Museum in Chicago will hire a full-time executive director, a leadership role that the museum had identified as a need before its operations were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the diverse heritage, experiences, and contributions of the nearly five million American Indians in the United States as an integral part of the larger American narrative. The museum will reengage in an active search for an individual with the experience and qualifications to take on organizational reopening plans and ensure continuance of the museum’s pre-pandemic growth trajectory. The new position will bridge the digital engagements that defined the museum’s work during COVID-19 with in-person programming that was prevalent pre-pandemic.
