Wyandotte Nation

Log Number: ARPNA-250554-OMLS-22

The Wyandotte Nation Cultural Center and Museum in Oklahoma will expand its outreach to broader communities by creating an online exhibit featuring photographs, paintings, and other Wyandotte artifacts. The museum will hire a museum technician who will receive instruction from the state historical society on best practices in online exhibits. The online exhibit will allow the museum to serve Wyandotte citizens all over the country, providing them with access to its collection and related educational materials. The project will help communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic by allowing citizens to practice social distancing while creating a digital community. In addition to increasing access to Tribal heritage, the museum’s online presence will enhance connections with the Tribe and Tribal citizens nationwide.
