To develop recommendations about appropriate male social units and socialization to improve long-term captive management of bottlenose dolphins. This will be achieved through examination of the social behavior and social relationships among adult and maturing males within the captive population of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncates) combined with behavioral data on maturing dolphins in the wild.
