Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation

The Free Library of Philadelphia will increase access to its significant collection of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts by creating bibliographic records and 3,055 digital images from 1,400 codices and leaves in its Lewis-Widener manuscript collection. The digitized images will be available to the public and scholars through the Free Library's Web site and through the international Digital Scriptorium database of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts, thus unifying in virtual form parts of books scattered throughout the world.
