Ada Community Library

The Ada County District Library, in cooperation with museums, libraries, and archives across Idaho, will conduct the first-ever statewide survey to identify preservation needs among collections-holding institutions. By establishing existing conditions, these baseline data will be useful to organizations in developing a plan for proper care of collections and will allow the creation of a formal network to encourage collaborative efforts and communication among cultural heritage communities. In addition, a statewide workshop will be held, resulting in a set of best practices documents addressing basic collections care needs that can be distributed to all Idaho institutions.
