In partnership with University of Nevada-Reno, librarians and faculty at University of Texas at Arlington will investigate best practices for incorporating cross-disciplinary maker-based competencies into the undergraduate curriculum. This planning grant will allow the project team to further test an emerging set of competencies developed at UT Arlington, which will be piloted at five diverse colleges and universities (UT-Arlington, University of Nevada-Reno, and three additional partners to be identified as part of the planning process). Once the competencies are refined, the project team intends to pursue a project implementation grant to support broad dissemination and adaptation of the framework.
