Syracuse University will convene a three-part forum called Library Integration in Institutional Learning Analytics (LIILA) to increase academic library involvement in higher education learning analytics and prepare academic librarians to engage in this emerging and important use of data to support student learning and success. Learning analytics involves the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of data about learners and their contexts or learning environments. The project includes a literature review; a forum consisting of three meetings for 31 librarians, administrators, and other representatives; and sharing of findings and conclusions from the meetings with the broader academic library and higher education community through a white paper and conference presentations.
