National Museum of Mexican Art

Log Number: MA-249757-OMS-21

The National Museum of Mexican Art will partner with four organizations that together make up the Mexican Cultural Arts Alliance to serve the Mexican community in Chicago and beyond. Through a combination of leadership development and arts programming, the museum seeks to leverage its expertise and resources to strengthen the cultural identity of Mexican communities in Indianapolis, IN; St. Paul-Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; and West Chicago, IL. The program will grow the capacity of local arts organizations serving those communities. This will involve biweekly training sessions, professional goal development, mentorship, a traveling exhibition of local artists’ works, cultural programming to support the exhibitions––such as art workshops, artist talks, panel discussions, and performing arts events––and a mini-conference for organizations to share lessons learned, network, and develop additional collaborations.
