Museum of the American Revolution

The Museum of the American Revolution will rebuild and relaunch its Timeline of the American Revolution website. Originally created in 2009, the site runs on outdated technology that will not be supported after December 2021. The site contains approximately 70 objects from the museum’s collection, with content including descriptive text, pop-up facets, and video. Each featured artifact reveals a story about a particular historical moment through the eyes of a person who lived it. The updated timeline will feature new modular lesson plans, activities, primary and secondary source documents, illustrations, maps, and other resources. The museum will partner with educators in rebuilding the timeline to ensure its efficacy in facilitating classroom exploration and dialogue.
