Columbia College Chicago (Museum of Contemporary Photography)

The Museum of Contemporary Photography will digitize artworks and enter collections metadata for approximately 6,000 items from its permanent collection. The museum will also catalog and rehouse objects and update metadata related to the objects. Staff will hire and train two graduate curatorial assistants who will research and write updated artist biographies and catalog content that are informed by surveys completed by artists, their agents, and families. As a result of the project, the public will have increased access to thousands of searchable, high-resolution image files online through the museum’s website.
