Thanksgiving Point

Log Number: MA-253292-OMS-23

Thanksgiving Point Institute will partner with two community organizations by establishing “Curiosity Centers” within their facilities and providing free STEM programming to underserved pre-K and K-12 youth. Grant funds will support two full-time and two part-time STEM educators who will facilitate programs on topics such as coding, making, robotics, entomology, paleontology, animal and earth sciences, and career education experiences, all of which will align with Utah state science standards. This pilot project will respond to community partners’ requests to provide additional on-site STEM programming to increase the accessibility of hands-on science education for their communities. It will result in a framework and toolkit for delivering STEM programming to youth within organizations that already have an established relationship of trust with the families and youth they serve.
