Alaska Native Heritage Center

The Alaska Native Heritage Center will use funds to hire an Assistant Curator who will participate in a variety of tasks associated with museum curation, collections management, and collections care. The individual will aid the center in addressing a large backlog of donations by accessioning material, cataloging items, and rehousing the collections. Ultimately, this project would play an important role in maintaining the museum’s ability to successfully steward a large collection of Alaska Native material culture, while also fostering a new generation of Indigenous Museum workers.
