Dakota Territorial Museum

The Dakota Territorial Museum will continue to implement an ongoing plan to move its collections to a new storage facility. The museum will hire a move coordinator, purchase and install storage furniture and moving supplies, and engage a consulting conservator to mentor the move team and ensure the proper care and handling of materials. The museum will collaborate with other museums and organizations in the region to train collection staff and volunteers, improving their collection management skill set. The transfer of the newly inventoried, rehoused, labeled, and packed collections from its current facility to a newly rehabilitated historic building will allow the museum to gain intellectual and physical control of its collections.
