Louis Armstrong House Museum

Log Number: MH-249609-OMS-21

The Louis Armstrong House Museum will create a new orientation film to serve as a core component of the visitor experience in the new Louis Armstrong Center, a 14,000 sq. ft. expansion of the museum. The project team will adapt the storyboard into a script, select archival assets for inclusion, and produce, evaluate, and premiere the film. The museum's ongoing goal is to place Armstrong in proper context and share his story more fully and appropriately for all audiences. The new orientation film will give viewers a more complete perspective on both Louis and Lucille Armstrong and place their legacy within a nuanced conversation about American and African American history.
