African American Cultural and Historical Museum of Washtenaw County

The African American Cultural and Historical Museum of Washtenaw County will develop an educational program for high school students to engage with existing museum activities. Students will engage in a one-semester curriculum that introduces them to museum practice. Students will conduct research through individual and/or group projects that could result in an in-house or online exhibit, a short play or movie, musical performance, or a multi-media presentation. As appropriate, students may take part in oral history interviews and lead museum tours. The project will result in connecting students with the local community and deepening their knowledge and awareness of local history.
