Buffalo Bill Historical Center

Building Public Access The Buffalo Bill Historical Center serves varied groups including, families, individuals, school children, and tour groups from all over the world-most enroute to or from nearby Yellowstone National Park. A planned Digital Docent project will provide visitors with a variety of thematic tours to enhance their understanding of the American West and enrich their experience at the center. The 90-minute tours are delivery by wireless technology to pocket personal computers carried by visitors as they walk through the galleries. The content of the tours will be developed by the center's curatorial and educational staff and will be available in multiple languages and for different age levels. The Web pages will offer suggestions for additional exhibit related activities, information about related collections objects, and additional resources for study.
