Creative Discovery Museum

Purpose: Expanding Educational Services Creative Discovery Museum (CDM) plans to develop and implement a school outreach program titled Museum A-Go-Go. With this funding, the CDM will be able to expand its educational services and better serve the needs of local schools. The CDM will design a program for teachers and students in grades pre-K through 5 based on the CDM's exhibits in the arts (music and visual arts) and sciences (field science, water, invention, and technology). Over the next three years, the CDM will: develop six lessons connected to regional grademarkers and cover topics local teachers have found difficult to teach in the classroom; develop a program that will reach students in 8,000 outreach lessons per year; and develop an evaluation program that measures satisfaction and educational impact.
