Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s Paleontology Department will use grant funds to digitize its fossil collection. The tribe has one of the most unusual collections of Edmontosaurus dinosaur fossils in the world, and funding will be used to put this collection online for researchers who are interested in studying fossil organisms and their paleoenvironment. The grant will fund one full-time position for one year and purchase the equipment to digitize the collection. The final product will be a digital catalog of the collection with the fossil data posted online.
