Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians

Log Number: MN-251982-OMS-22

The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians will continue an ongoing project to develop a cultural center and museum that will serve as a place where its members can come together to practice, celebrate, and pass on their cultural heritage. The Tribe will select and hire a consultant to develop a financial plan that will guide museum operations and integrate its mission, vision, and values with short- and long-term financial planning, fundraising, and marketing. Planning for stable fiscal management for the museum will enable museum leaders to leverage resources and make decisions with greater confidence. The future museum will serve Tribal and local community members while preserving the cultural legacy, living traditions, knowledge, and language that make up Chemehuevi culture.
