Forest County Potawatomi Community

The Forest County Potawatomi Community Cultural Center, Library & Museum will fabricate and install two newly designed outdoor exhibits and provide related programming to re-engage the community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The museum will fabricate an authentic medicinal garden and teaching lodge exhibit using traditional knowledge and techniques as well as collaborate with Tribal elders to develop culturally specific hands-on experiences for the new spaces. By providing new immersive learning opportunities about living Potawatomi culture and traditions, this project will result in an increase in community member participation in museum programming and will benefit Tribal members, descendants, and their families.
