Urban Libraries Council

The Urban Libraries Council, working in partnership with 12 public library systems throughout the country, will recruit and educate eighty students in up to thirty different graduate schools of information and library science. Partner libraries will hold seminars, provide learning experiences, and hold a national conference about issues of concern to urban public librarians. Each library has a student diversity plan to increase the match between the racial/ethnic/linguistic demographics of the neighborhoods and the staff available to serve them. Match: 249,568
