Drexel University (Drexel University, CIST)

Drexel University will partner with the School District of Philadelphia (SDP) to recruit and educate current professional and paraprofessional employees to receive a master’s degree and become eligible for Pennsylvania's "Library Science, K-12" certification. Students will retain their jobs, taking one or two courses a quarter and completing their field studies within SDP schools. Mentors selected from the Association of Philadelphia School Librarians will guide and support the 10 students throughout the program and help prepare them to undertake a three-year commitment to work in SDP upon graduation.
