Haitian Heritage Museum

Log Number: ST-254995-OMS-23

The Haitian Heritage Museum will conserve, rehouse, and digitize five photo albums and thirty-five loose photographs that detail the time American financier Roger L. Farnham spent in Haiti in the early twentieth century. Farnham was the vice president of National City Bank of New York, and the photo albums document his travels investigating possible U.S. financial investments prior to the U.S. occupation of Haiti (1915-1934). Museum staff will work with conservators to address varying degrees of deterioration to the collection. Once treated, staff will digitize the photographs and make them accessible to the public through digital dissemination and exhibition.
