Boston Symphony Orchestra

Log Number: ST-255001-OMS-23

The Boston Symphony Orchestra will preserve, digitize, and increase public access to its collection of conductor scores and performance sets from the early twentieth century to 1980. Project activities include cataloguing, transporting, digitizing, storing, and publicly sharing the collection, which includes original scores edited by Claude Debussy, Igor Stravinsky, and numerous other composers and conductors. Through this project, these scores will be preserved and digitally accessible to music scholars and musicians to offer insights into how music was performed before recording technology was widely available as well as inform accurate performances of late nineteenth and twentieth century masterpieces.
