The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library used its IMLS grant to capture the personal stories and family sagas of Czech and Slovak Cold War émigrés and post-Velvet Revolution Czech and Slovak immigrants to America. The second phase of a four-phase project focused on New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, Florida, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The project included design of a traveling exhibit, a conference, and the publication of an issue of the museum’s journal which uses oral history content. Elements of the project such as informational content and video clips were put into a permanent exhibition.
