Chief Financial Officer
In March of 2013, Chris Catignani was appointed as IMLS Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Catignani has most recently served as IMLS Deputy Chief Financial Officer from 2011-2013. He brings over 20 years of experience in financial reporting and operational auditing, the last seven of which have been in the Federal sector in Financial Reporting and Reconciliation. His responsibilities as CFO include financial reporting preparation and review, monitoring of agency-wide management controls, audit liaison, budget execution, and oversight of the grants administration office. Prior to joining IMLS, Mr. Catignani has served as a Senior Consultant in the Business Consulting Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), and as an Operations Auditor at IBM, Boston Scientific Corporation, and Perkin-Elmer. In the federal sector he has served in the Office of Financial Management at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as well as the Department of Agriculture/U.S. Forest Service.
Mr. Catignani is a Certified Public Accountant, has a master's degree in business administration from the Smith School at the University of Maryland, and a bachelor of science from the University of Maryland. He currently serves on the government CFO Small-Agency Council.
