Combating Anti-Semitism to Unite Communities
IMLS supports the White House agenda to combat anti-Semitism.
- Executive Order 14188: Additional Measures To Combat Anti-Semitism
- Executive Order 13899: Combating Anti-Semitism
IMLS staunchly opposes discrimination and bigotry. As a result, we partner with museums and libraries across the country to offer education, programming, and community-building in opposition of anti-Semitism. Some of the steps we’ve taken in pursuit of this goal include:
- Offering funding opportunities to museums, archives, and libraries that combat anti-semitism throughout the United States.
- Hosting convenings for museum professionals to address societal challenges, including Museums Respond: Strategies for Countering Antisemitism and Hate, co-hosted by the Council of American Jewish Museums (CAJM).
- Joining with the White House Task Force on anti-Semitism to determine additional opportunities for libraries and museums to combat anti-Semitism.
