National Museum of Mexican Art

The National Museum of Mexican Art will design and fabricate new display cases for its 7,000 square foot anchor exhibition. NMMA will work with an exhibition design consultant to redesign, develop and produce the cases housing ancient Mesoamerican, colonial religious and folk art. The new cases will give wheelchair users access to the objects on exhibit while tactile braille QR codes will facilitate independent access to visual descriptions of the art and artifacts. The project will result in greater staff capacity for serving people with disabilities and making exhibits more universally accessible to all visitors.
