National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture

The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture (NMPRAC) aims to improve collections management for NMPRAC to create an accessible Puerto Rican archive that can be utilized by people internationally. Project activities will center on improving the Museum’s collection management, including purchasing equipment and software, the temporary hiring of a Collections Manager Consultant and Conservator Consultant, and professional development training and education to expand staff knowledge and understanding of essential procedures, policies and standards for museum and archival collections. The project will enable NMPRAC to provide a tangible archive facility and fully digitized collections enabling wide-spread community access to Puerto Rican historic resources.
