El Museo del Barrio

The El Museo del Barrio will launch a museum education lab to research, test, and implement teaching traditions developed in Latin America within museum learning programs for K-12 students. Project activities include training museum educators and teaching artists, piloting new school programs, and producing an open-access curriculum guide and professional development resources to expand access to teachers and cultural institutions nationwide. The project will create an educational learning cohort of 12 public-facing staff who collectively manage the museum’s school programs and generate sustained institutional capacity at El Museo del Barrio to design and deliver youth learning programs.
