Mexic-Arte Museum

The Mexic-Arte Museum will train the next generation of museum professionals with career opportunities that develop the skills necessary to thrive in the museum workforce. Over three years the Mexic-Arte Museum will recruit up to 72 interns from universities across central Texas, providing an enriching 10-week internship that culminates in the presentation of a project aligned with their professional interests and career goals. Staff from all museum departments will work in partnership to serve as mentors for the interns and guide their work. As a result of this project, interns will gain practical work experience related to their course of study, acquiring valuable skills to use in a rapidly changing museum career field.
