Mexic-Arte Museum

The Mexic-Arte Museum will strengthen its organizational capacity by developing policies and plans essential for professional museum operations. The museum will engage an expert consultant to guide the creation of core documents such as a strategic plan, a disaster preparedness and emergency response plan, and a collections management policy. The project will also support the transition to a new collections management system that will streamline accessioning, cataloging, and condition reporting with the goal of accessioning 2,000 artworks over the two-year project period. As a result of this project, staff will have easier access to the collection while also enhancing public access by integrating the collection with the museum’s website, making it easier for our communities to explore and engage with the collection online.
