The Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology will broaden its community involvement and service by removing barriers and providing resources and support for community members with invisible disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, agoraphobia, and depression. To reach these goals, the museum will deliver programming for learners of all ages with varying needs. In addition, the museum will create a multifunctional wellness room, programming designed for neurodiverse visitors, and guides and sensory maps. Through these resources, the museum will serve those who may be experiencing psychological disorders or challenges exacerbated by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
