DuPage Children's Museum

Log Number: ARPML-250870-OMLS-22

DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville, Illinois, will respond to delays in children’s academic growth due to the COVID-19 pandemic by creating a program of in-person and virtual educational science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics experiences for children ages 4–12. The museum will facilitate 45- to 90-minute learning labs that feature activities aligned with Next Generation Science Standards for first through fourth grade students. Examples include using craft supplies to design and build a creature that can survive in its natural habitat and building a bridge to explore engineering concepts. Activities are provided directly to students within Title I schools and other children who face barriers to informal educational programming. The museum will use surveys, interviews, and anecdotal evidence to measure progress in reaching program goals and objectives.
