Birmingham Public Library

Log Number: ARPML-250880-OMLS-22

The Friends Foundation of the Birmingham Public Library in Alabama will rebuild community cohesion by making technological upgrades to shared public meeting spaces. The library system will also upgrade and expand meeting facilities and media equipment used by the public. This includes the installation of grid art panels, room dividers, laptops, and a new audio/visual sound system. The upgrades will target the system’s three most requested community spaces and allow them to grow their community programs. At the same time, these improvements aim to welcome back the historically underserved and marginalized communities that were shut out at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
