South Arkansas Community College

The South Arkansas Community College Library in El Dorado will develop and deliver programming to underserved populations to ease their transition from the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic into in-person social activity. The library will hire a part-time community engagement specialist to conduct outreach in target communities and collaborate with partners to deliver programming. Community partners will include the Union County Public Library system, the Calhoun County Library, the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society, and the South Arkansas Arts Center. The library also will work with the college’s Center for Workforce Development and Adult Education Center to provide résumé writing and mock interviewing sessions for job seekers.
