Jack Hadley Black History Museum

Log Number: ARPML-250996-OMLS-22

The Jack Hadley Black History Museum in Thomasville, Georgia, will expand access to its collections for underserved audiences. Like so many others, the museum was forced to close during the pandemic. The museum will hire staff to work on-site in preparation for the museum’s reopening to the public. To facilitate access to a backlog of artifacts and print materials that were not catalogued during the pandemic, a data clerk will enter the materials in an online collections database. The museum also will produce an exhibits booklet to support face-to-face programming for students and older adults. This project will enhance the museum’s ability to serve its audiences efficiently and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
