Lancaster Public Library

Lancaster Public Library in Pennsylvania will implement a digital expansion project to meet the community’s increasing requests for additional digital resources. Patrons’ demand for digital content skyrocketed during the height of the pandemic and remained high even when the library reopened its doors. The library will increase access to digital materials by adding to its e-book and audiobook collections, as well as adding streaming services for a wide variety of programming. To further maximize user access, the library will offer programming to train patrons on how to use these digital platforms. This emphasis on digital literacy reflects the new approaches and patron preferences around library services that were necessitated by COVID-19.
