Lux Art Institute

Lux Art Institute is expanding the reach of the Valise Project, a unique arts outreach program that brings deserving students a hands-on art making experience that intersects with daily academic subjects. While the Valise Project currently provides onsite, virtual, and digital opportunities for disadvantaged youth in North County San Diego, Lux aims to expand its impact by reaching students across the entirety of San Diego county. To coincide with this expansion, Lux will commission a new Valise, designed by an accomplished contemporary artist, accompanied by curriculum relevant to the students’ lives and daily learning. The Valise Project will grow, bringing new critical thinking, problem solving, and creative strategies into the lives of underprivileged students across San Diego county.
